Something this apert family/community doesn’t know about us is, Dawson has several siblings in heaven.

I have had multiple discussions with several ones from this page, through these last 3 years...

This might give you a little insight on why I believe wholeheartedly…. That EVERY life matters, no matter how tiny or different!!

—————-

When I see your precious face

You’ll never know the depth

My love for you was so strong

How lost and broken….

Loosing you changed everything

You weren’t “just a fetus”

You were my baby

A precious heartbeat

Beautiful skin and tiny, tiny arms

They said it would all be okay one day

It wasn’t. It isn’t.

They said I would move on

I haven’t. I can’t.

When you lose someone you love

The world comes crashing down

Each day after is a struggle

But you learn to just live on

There is growth and maturity

One day I will see you

There is joy and laughter

You have siblings that bring this

I live for the day where I get to hold you

Show you your brothers and let you know

Every day has felt like eternity

But life has been so blessed

I love being a mom to my boys

They bring me such joy

I will never forget the ones who made me mom

But I’m so grateful for the ones

-The ones, God has let me hold

One day, when I finally get to see you

I will hold you like I hold my boys

But until then,

I will continue to advocate

For the ones, like you, with no voice

Every heartbeat matters

Every tiny life matters

You have given me a lifetime of striving

Proving, YOUR life mattered!

10 years has been too long

I’ll wait as long as I have to

I can’t wait for the day,

When I see your precious face

Quick weekend getaway to Nanas house! Daws has never been able to go do these fun things with Nana and really enjoyed this fun time! )

(Nana and Auntie Pris even kept him overnight for the first time ever away from home haha!!) We did catch a respiratory virus while down there, but we’re fighting it with everything we can!

Recovery is FULL of ups and downs! But I’m thankful he’s on his feet for the most part! Even if there is very little sleep going on around here!!🙈 I’m so thankful for those of you who have checked in, sent $ or brought meals by!! It has been a huge help and tremendous blessing!!

Note from Yesterday:

We were able to go out because Auntie came over and we took Mr. Man out for some safe play for just a few minutes!

We’re still being ultra careful, but today he had more energy and was begging to go “eye eye” aka: (bye bye) haha! The pain seems to be easing a little, we’re on day 5 of post-op!!!

Grateful for a safe space @werockthespectrumokc!!!! Love love the owner!!! All the toys are padded and safe for littles with any sort of extra needs! It was easy to follow him around letting him play and not worry much about kids running into him(all children are supervised carefully) or him hitting his head on something sharp/hard!! So thankful my sister came along to help him get a little break from home!!! It won’t be but a few more days and we’ll be getting close to our normal daily goings!! Praising Jesus for each little step of healing and strength!
