I’m finally ready to let everyone in on what we have been working on!

It’s official… our sweet, precious, newly horse-infatuated boy, is going into his second Cranio surgery.

We got the call in the last few weeks that this surgery is urgent and must be done quickly. So, Sept. 22nd, is the date has been set for his Posterior Cranio Vault!

This is a major surgery. While not as visually altering as his FOA was, it’s still going to be a change. Going into it, as parents it is terrifying, heartbreaking, and dangerous, but so very vital for his health! Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers as we process coming up to this! Dawson doesn’t understand, but we are trying to prepare the whole family for this.

We’re so thankful already for the family and friends that have jumped in and taken dates during and following the surgery, to be able to help with anything needed!! We’re truly blessed with our little circle!

Until then, we will be living life to the fullest and praying Jesus helps peace overcome us and our nerves settle a bit!

Cold season has started for our littles! Unfortunately, Dawsons allergies took a turn last night, and it has now gone into a cold. We are attacking it with everything we have, and other items in order! Meds and suction just wasn’t enough to bump his O2 over 86-88% so we had to go to cannula oxygen. First time this season for a cannula and he isn’t too sure what to think haha! But praying we can conquer this one soon! Praying for all our other Apert friends, seems this week is hitting our families hard! Please remember us and Daws in your prayers, we don’t want another hospital stay during all of this craziness with the pandemic.

Our sweet boy is getting so big!! Along with physical growth, he’s also learning his independence and has a major attitude if you try to reign him in!🙈😂 We have had a few ask, so decided update on his health!

He has healed tremendously well from his cranio surgery and got over the virus finally! He is teething, and gosh.. they decided to start popping in! 4 in the front, 2 top, 2 bottom and then another one trying in the back! And boy, can he bite now, has left several marks on mom!😂

We finally found an ENT, Dr. Glade, that is very familiar with Apert syndrome and also already works regularly with Dr. Fearon’s cranio patients! It didn’t take more than a couple seconds for him to confirm our suspension, Daws definitely NEEDS ear tubes! We have known for awhile, but since having 4 ear infections since surgery 2 months ago, it’s become more urgent! We are scheduled for ear tubes, upper lip tie release and a scope sleep study all at the same time on this Wednesday morning! Praying this takes care of the cause for most recent pain issues!

We’re so blessed to be adding another amazing Doctor to our medical team, it’s hard to find people that either already know, or are willing to dig in and study these babies! I’m doing my best to go into this fall season with a grateful heart, for we have much to thank God for!❤️🍂
