Daws has been doing so well this quarantine! But being home isn’t super unusual for him unfortunately, he has never been in a store or a public place besides medical needs. He was sick for so long, it wasn’t worth taking chances.

Now, We CANT WAIT to CHANGE THAT! We’re so ready for him to see the world, now that he’s been well enough to, we’re making so many fun plans! He’s enjoying new things daily!

Daws has been having some tummy issues, again. But we feel we might have found something that helps him tremendously, until we can get into a GI for them to take a closer look at how he is processing. If you don’t remember, back when he was just a few months old, we realized he doesn’t process food through his stomach without medicine to help him, he still takes one 3 times daily, and another very 4 hours to help, but it’s not enough now that we’re introducing foods. He really likes to taste things, but doesn’t care to swallow, just lets it drool out for the most part haha! >>>Quick back story, when I was pregnant, I had terrible acid reflux and nothing would help, and I try avoid meds as much as possible. Jesse always has reflux, and honestly, would pop pills left and right. One day I convinced him to try the papaya enzymes I was taking for my reflux, and what do you know, they worked like a charm. To this day, that’s all he will use when needed and his reflux has decreased tremendously.<<< Sooo, fast forward to the last few weeks, I got to thinking, this might be something we should try, since Daws’ reflux is coming back. I ground a few into powder and gave him 1 in his bottle; BAM, no more fussing. We have increased that to several pills almost every bottle, and he seems to, not only be doing well on it, he’s also sleeping through the night now, and also not crying out in pain at night! We have come to the conclusion that we think reflux was what was waking him so often!! So two birds with one stone.... more sleep for mom, and less pain for Daws haha!!! I’m ever so grateful for finding this little nugget of gold called Papaya Enzyme. Truly a miracle worker around here! Counting our blessings!

Dawson is 10.5 months. How is this possible?! He is sitting up now, and when he falls over tries to catch himself and can push back up from his boppy! He holds his bottle all the sudden... so amazing to see him using his little “paws” until we can do the next surgery to give him all his little fingers!

Dawson absolutely enjoyed his first Easter, and even got to taste his first Candy thanks to Daddy😂! It’s been a full few weeks with all the kids and being quarantined at home! Both big sis and Daws have to keep total distance, but I think we’ve made some pretty good memories during all of this!

Pray ‘Rona goes away so we can keep the surgery date scheduled for May 21st!

We’re counting each of our blessings, including good health and thanking God for each little miracle during this time.

Sunday, we took Dawson outside to swing for his FIRST time! Daddy had surprised us by setting it up since it was a beautiful day for once! That being said, he was able to really enjoy it because he has had a fairly pain free day! In fact, we even got several little giggle/smiles!

We’re so glad to report that Daws is feeling much better, the pain seems to be fading as each day goes by! His little toes and fingers seem to be healing nicely for the most part and we hope that the pediatrician agrees this week!:) It is amazing to me as a mom to watch how someone so little, delicate and innocent; can go through such a tough surgery and still have a smile on his face in-between moments of suffering! It will never be easy making these decisions to put him through such pain, but it is necessary. I know one day he will be so grateful that we had it done while he was young, and that keeps me able to continue with each stage. He is such a bright light in our life and is teaching us much through all of this!
